Duncan Smith operates this fifth generation, heritage family farm that goes back to 1787. The farm is located just south of Lake Ontario, in the fruit belt. The orchard includes a variety of cherries, peaches, plums, nectarines, grapes, apples and pears. While not organic, Duncan practices ‘minimal input’ agriculture, only using the least amount of chemical treatment necessary when problems arise, if no alternative solutions are available. Duncan provides market customers with a complete list of inputs and dates that they have been used.
